I first discovered this song a couple years back when I was living out in San Diego...(It was used as the opening track for some quicksilver surf vid that came with a bathing suit I bought hahaha). Definitely top down cruising on the 101 music!

 

I think I first heard this song in a old Maxima commericial back in the day, then later on in the Matrix...either way this song made me wake up......straight up.

Just got back from a phenomenal vacation in the Bahamas. I left my ipod on shuffle a good chunk of the time (apart from bumping dub selector at the crucial moments) just to see what the musical gods (and apple programmers) would come up with. The winner for best track on the ipod Golden Shuffle in the category of bugged out og awesomeness goes to....... "Reading Rainbow Theme Song" Isjchooou kidding me right now? FUCKING AWESOME!

To this day I have yet to hear a more complete hip hop track. The style, the lyrics, the beat....a timeless classic.

I haven't blogged in a while but I've been gradually updating the site little by little...adding tracks to the music player as well as adding some new pages in the mix (check the about & optical tabs for some images I've collected over the years that intrigue and inspire me which in turn have given visual representation to my music).

2009 was a whirlwind year when it comes to this here music. Two "classics" completed: "Triumphant Stumble" in the spring and  "Beyond the Gutter" in the fall. I've got one more on deck for 2009 and should be done in the next month, coming strong with more of the epically gutter. Being a huge Dilla fan, I stumbled upon Flying Lotus a couple months back....check his remix to Dilla's Lightworks, straight FIRE!!
